The Commercial Training & Competency Program Manager is responsible for designing, deploying, and governing a global and consistent commercial capability development framework across all Regions. This role partners closely with Regional Commercial Leaders, Business Units (BUs), and DBS leaders to build a robust and scalable learning ecosystem, strengthen sales competencies, and ensure commercial teams perform at their highest potential.

This role requires an experienced commercial leader with strong understanding of sales cycles and process in a B2B environment, customer engagement, and commercial excellence practices. The role is both strategic and hands-on, driving global alignment while enabling local execution.

This position reports to the Director Global Commercial Operations and will be part of the Global Commercial Operations team.

The position will be fully remote in France.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

Develop and lead the global commercial training strategy by establishing a consistent, scalable learning framework, onboarding programs, and blended learning solutions across all regions.

Build and govern a global sales competency framework that defines required capabilities, assesses proficiency, identifies gaps, and drives development plans for all commercial roles.

P artner with Regional Commercial Leaders, Business Units, and DBS teams to align training priorities, ensure content relevance, and drive accountability for capability development.

Establish robust training governance and operational excellence through standardized processes, content management, reporting, compliance oversight, learning platforms, and Train-the-Trainer networks.

Measure impact and continuously improve commercial capabilities by tracking training effectiveness, monitoring competency progress, analyzing performance gaps, and providing actionable insights to leadership.

  • The essential requirements of the job include
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business, Training & Development, Commercial Management, or comparable experience
  • 7+ years in Sales, Commercial Excellence, Sales Enablement, or Training roles
  • Demonstrated ability to build and manage global programs and projects
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and influencing skills
  • Strong command of MS Office, and in particular MS Excel and large language model (LLM) based answer engines such as M365 Copilot, ChatGPT, or Claude
  • Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements
  • Ability to travel 20% of time
  • It would be a plus if you also possess experience in:
  • Working knowledge with Learning Management Systems (Cornerstone, Workday Learning)

The Training and Sales Skills Development Program Manager is responsible for designing, deploying and piloting a global, harmonized sales skills development framework across all regions. This role works closely with regional sales leaders, Business Units (BUs) and DBS leaders to create a robust and scalable learning ecosystem, strengthen sales skills and ensure optimal team performance.

This role requires an experienced sales leader with a solid understanding of sales cycles and processes in a B2B environment, customer engagement and sales excellence practices. This is both a strategic and operational role, driving global alignment while enabling effective local execution.

This position reports to the Director Global Commercial Operations and is part of the Global Commercial Operations team. The position is fully teleworking in France.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to

Develop and drive the global sales training strategy by implementing a consistent and scalable learning framework, onboarding programs and blended learning solutions across all regions.

Build and govern a global business skills framework defining required skills, assessing proficiency levels, identifying skills gaps and implementing development plans across business functions.

Collaborate with regional sales managers, Business Units and DBS teams to align training priorities, ensure content relevance and strengthen accountability for skills development.

Establish solid training governance and operational excellence through standardized processes, content management, reporting, compliance monitoring, learning platforms and trainer networks (“Train-the-Trainer”).

Measure impact and continuously improve sales skills by tracking training effectiveness, assessing skills progression, analyzing performance gaps, and providing actionable recommendations to management.

The essential requirements for this position are as follows

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Commerce, Training & Development, Commercial Management or equivalent experience.

More than 7 years of experience in Sales, Commercial Excellence, Sales Enablement or Training.

Demonstrated experience in designing and managing programs and projects on a global scale.

Excellent facilitation, communication and influencing skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, as well as conversational tools based on large language models (LLM) such as M365 Copilot, ChatGPT or Claude.

  • Travel representing approximately 20% of working time.
