Role Summary

At Logicalis Spain we are looking to hire a Senior SQL Server Administrator to join our Infrastructure and Managed Services team. We are looking for a person with extensive experience in the administration of Microsoft SQL Server environments, focused on the optimization, automation and continuous improvement of critical platforms, participating in both managed services and technological transformation projects.

Features

Administration, maintenance and support of Microsoft SQL Server platforms.

Installation, configuration, updating and patching of SQL Server instances.

Database, capacity, storage and performance management.

Administration of backups, restores and recovery plans.

Management and support of high availability environments (Always On Availability Groups and Failover Clustering).

Diagnosis and resolution of complex incidents.

Database and query performance optimization.

Task automation using PowerShell and T-SQL.

Preparation of technical documentation and root cause analysis (RCA).

Participation in platform migration, consolidation and modernization projects.

It will be valued

Experience with Windows Server.

Knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID.

Experience in Microsoft Intune, SCCM/MECM and Microsoft 365.

Knowledge of Azure or AWS.

Experience in automation with PowerShell, Ansible or Terraform.

Knowledge of virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware).

Microsoft, Azure, AWS or SQL Server certifications.

Requirements

Minimum requirements

• At least 5 years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server Administrator.
• Experience administering SQL Server 2016, 2019 and/or 2022.
• Knowledge of backup and recovery management (Backup & Recovery).
• Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimization.
• Knowledge of T-SQL.
• Experience working in on-premise, virtualized or cloud environments.
• Technical English level.
