Construction engineer with 8+ years of experience for the construction department in Ørestad

Do you want to work with some of Denmark's most complex constructions in a strong professional environment with a high degree of independence and influence?

Right now we are looking for a construction engineer with a minimum of 8 years' experience for one of our construction departments in Ørestad.

Meet your new department

You will be part of an interdisciplinary team of more than 30 construction engineers, building designers and project managers, including six certified structural engineers, based at Rambøll's head office in Ørestad.

In our department, we work broadly with both our own tasks and tasks from other parts of Rambøll Construction within new construction, transformation and renovation.

We do not differentiate between housing, industry, culture or sports, and are often involved in projects with particularly complex constructions where standard solutions are not sufficient.

Right now we are working on, among other things, the wooden church in Ørestad, the transformation of Buddinge Byport, Europe's largest wooden logistics center, Bestsellers Logistics Center West, the expansion of Copenhagen Airport's footbridge over Ellehammervej and Nordhavn's new metro station at Levantkaj.

This means that you will have a varied working life with plenty of opportunities to challenge yourself professionally across different types of construction.

Requirements

Your primary areas of responsibility will be

• To design load-bearing structures in concrete, steel and wood
• To be a sparring partner for your colleagues and to help develop the professionalism of our younger employees
• To help drive the professional development at Rambølls with the aim of raising the quality of our services from project to project
• To build and further develop customer relationships as well as drive offers of varying sizes, so that we ensure a strong pipeline of projects
• About you

You have a minimum of 8 years' experience with detailed design of load-bearing structures in Denmark.

• You take pride in developing professionally
• You value interdisciplinary collaboration and are able to communicate effectively with all the disciplines involved in a design process
• You have the ability to tailor the task to the customer's wishes, and you work carefully with the details
• Your starting point for constant professional development

• Several of your new colleagues are, for example, in the process of becoming certified structural engineers, participating in courses at DKBI and training in project management through our own Rambøll Academy.

Your new head of department, Peter Lund Christensen, is a trained construction engineer and has 20 years' experience from Rambøll, where he has worked at the crossroads between planning and project management. He actively participates in the professional sparring on the projects and brings both his experience and his strong network into play.

Peter emphasizes turning employees' wishes for development into concrete opportunities and knows from his own career how important responsive management is for both well-being and motivation.
