What you can do

As a member of the rotor department at the GE Vernova production site in Birr, you will actively contribute as a milling cutter in a 3-shift operation to support the department in production and demonstrate your own initiative.

• Your tasks
• Operate a CNC-controlled milling machine for machining turbine and generator shafts (up to 240 t, 2.4 m diameter and 16 m length) (Siemens 840d sl control).
• Monitor production processes and correct malfunctions as well as inform the supervisor
• Maintain and monitor tool inventory
• Carry out quality control (dimensional and visual) independently and record the specified test mass
• Ensure the optimal use of the facilities and resources necessary for production
• Prepare follow-up orders ahead of time
• Register completed work steps and report them in the SAP system
• Carry out special orders

What you should bring (basic qualifications)

• Training as a milling cutter or comparable training
• Several years of relevant professional experience
• Good knowledge of CNC machining
• Good knowledge of reading technical drawings and documents
• Good knowledge of spoken and written German
• PC knowledge
