AI Security Engineer (gn)

Role Summary

Start: Immediately | Level: Senior | Location: Germany, remote | Working hours: full time (40h/week)

As an AI Security Engineer, you are responsible for the secure introduction, development and use of AI technologies in the company. The focus is on securing AI systems, generative AI solutions, LLM-based workflows, AI-supported tools and the secure integration of external AI services.

You act as the central contact person for AI security, define security standards, carry out architecture and risk analyzes and develop technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse. In addition, you will drive the automation of security controls and governance processes and support departments in the secure use of AI.

Your mission with us

You advise and evaluate internally developed and external AI systems, generative AI applications, LLM-based workflows and agent systems from a security perspective

You conduct AI threat modeling, risk analysis, security assessments and architecture reviews for software, cloud and AI solutions

You develop and establish secure AI-by-design and security-by-default principles and define security requirements for AI-supported systems

You identify and evaluate risks such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, data leakage, model poisoning, adversarial attacks or insecure agent integrations and develop appropriate protective measures

You conduct AI red teaming, technical security analyzes and security reviews and support the securing of LLM platforms, Agentic AI solutions and AI service integrations

You develop automated security controls and integrate AI security checks into DevSecOps, CI/CD and MLOps processes

You establish monitoring and detection mechanisms for AI applications and analyze security events together with security operations teams

You advise development, product and specialist departments on the safe use of AI and support the introduction of new AI solutions through training, standards and best practices

• Your experience & skills
• You have a degree in computer science, cyber security, information security or a comparable qualification
• You have several years of experience in security engineering, application security, cloud security or a comparable cyber security environment
• You have practical experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), modern AI platforms and cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS or Google Cloud
• You have experience with threat modeling, security assessments, architecture reviews as well as modern DevSecOps, CI/CD or MLOps processes
• Knowledge of AI security standards and frameworks such as OWASP Top 10 for LLM Applications, MITER ATLAS, NIST AI RMF or comparable approaches is an advantage

Ideally, you have experience in areas such as AI Red Teaming, RAG architectures, vector databases, Agentic AI or regulatory requirements such as ISO 27001, NIS2 or the EU AI Act

You have a strong sense of security, analytical thinking, a structured way of working and strong communication skills

You have very good written and spoken German and English skills
