Working student in management consulting

Role Summary

We are looking for an interested student (m/f/d) as a working student in our headquarters in Wuppertal in the area of information security or data protection.

Are you studying IT law, (business) information technology, law, business administration or comparable disciplines and are you interested in management consulting? Responsibilities

What are your tasks? In addition to internal tasks, you will work for our customers, among other things. entrusted with the following tasks:

As part of supporting our customer projects and internal data protection initiatives, you will, among other things, take on: the following exciting and varied tasks:

• Support in advising on fundamental questions and individual case decisions in data protection (e.g. GDPR, BDSG, industry-specific requirements)
• Participation in audits, revisions and analyzes (e.g. data protection impact assessments, review of processing records)
• Assessment of technical-organizational measures (TOM) to protect personal data
• Participation in the creation and maintenance of data protection concepts, guidelines and training documents
• Support with training and awareness measures for employees and customers (including preparation of content for e-learning content)
• Research and preparation of current data protection developments (e.g. judgments, guidelines from the supervisory authorities)

Requirements

• What should you bring? We would be happy to have the following skills:
• Studies related to data protection, IT law, (business) information technology, law, business administration or comparable disciplines
• Interest in data protection topics – initial basic knowledge of data protection law (GDPR, BDSG) or technology is desirable, but not a requirement
• Analytical thinking and structured way of working
• Strong communication skills: clear ability to express yourself verbally and in writing (fluent in German (C2); English desirable)
• IT affinity: Good knowledge of common IT systems and office applications
• Customer orientation: enjoy exchanging ideas with colleagues and customers
• Flexibility: Willingness to travel occasionally (car driving license is an advantage)
• Ability to make contact and enjoy dealing with customers
• Ability to express clearly in speech and writing (fluent German is mandatory; English desirable)
• good knowledge of dealing with IT systems
• optional: already have knowledge in the field of information security management systems (ISMS) according to ISO 2700x
• Car driving license

About the Company

We are a shareholder-managed, medium-sized management consultancy with the core areas of data protection and information security that was founded 25 years ago. We now have locations in Wuppertal, Berlin, Saarbrücken and Vienna.

A good introduction to the company, the customers to be looked after and in-depth training in the specific data protection issues as well as other questions is a given (externally and in-house). You will also be assigned an experienced colleague who will not only train you, but will always be available to answer your questions.
