The service technician is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, diagnosing and repairing customers' systems and equipment (hardware and software). This work may be performed on-site or off-site and may require coordination or cooperation with other support teams or third parties. The work is typically carried out in the assigned region, but could be carried out anywhere on Canadian territory. Additionally, travel, after-hours work and weekend work are required.
A Field Service Technician (FST) is responsible to install, set up, maintain, troubleshoot and perform repair to client systems and equipment (hardware and software). Such work may be on or off site and may involve co-ordination and co-operation with other support teams or third parties. These duties will commonly be performed within an assigned region but may be required travel anywhere in Canada and will include after hours and weekend work.
Responsibilities
- Act as a service representative to assigned customers.
- Participate in the on-call schedule.
- Perform preventative maintenance.
- Be responsible for customer satisfaction.
- Maintain and manage equipment and parts to respond to service requests in a timely manner.
- Keep inventory up to date.
Diligently and professionally perform installations, repairs, diagnosis and resolution of computer hardware problems, as well as necessary modifications and assigned tasks on equipment installed at customers' premises. These tasks may be required to be performed after normal working hours, on a rotating on-call schedule.
- Ensure that all workspaces remain clean, organized and safe at all times. Act legally, safely and courteously when traveling to and from customer sites.
- Meet all administrative and reporting requirements, including completing all mandatory training.
- Occasionally deliver packages to courier depots or directly to the airport in case of emergency or after courier pickup time.
- Participate, if necessary, in the installation and layout of commercial promotional events.
- Support the sales team as a service representative in negotiations with banner head offices and at the channel level, and contribute to periodic reviews of equipment performance data.
- Foster a culture of excellence and a service relationship focused above all on the customer.

- Maintain your inventory up to date.
- Diligently and professionally execute installations, repairs, diagnose and resolve computer equipment issues, necessary changes and assigned tasks on equipment onsite at customer sites as required. This includes performing such work after hours as required on a rotating on-call basis.
- Ensure all work areas are kept clean, organized and safe always and act in a legal, safe and courteous manner while traveling to and from customer sites.
- Complete all administrative and reporting requirements, including all mandatory training.
- Occasionally bring packages to courier depots or directly to the airport in case of emergency or after courier pick-up times have elapsed.
- Participate in the set-up of commercial showcase events as required.
- Assist sales team as service representative when negotiating and banners HQ and chain level, assisting periodical review information on equipment performance.

Position Requirements
- Electronic, Robotics or Electro-mechanic college degree preferred, but not required.
- 5 years + of experience as FST position.
- Demonstrate leadership and maintain higher customer satisfaction standards
- Experience with pneumatic and robotics systems, troubleshooting and repairing an asset.
- Experience with complex electronic control systems, troubleshooting and repairing an asset.
- Experience in a pharmacy IT environment is an asset.
- Experience in healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
- Experience with Hospital Automation and healthcare automation is an asset.
- Capacity to learn and understand the functions of McKesson Automation equipment and apply learnings
- Ability to learn and understand the functions of McKesson pharmacy solution, Reflex Rx and POS in an IT perspective.
- Employee will be using his own vehicle.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds.
- Reporting to front line, field based technical customer service work experience a clear asset.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.

Requirements
- College diploma in electronics, robotics or electromechanics, desired but not required.
- More than five years of experience in a Field Service Technician (FST) position.
- Demonstrate leadership and maintain high standards of customer satisfaction.
- Experience with pneumatic and robotic systems and their troubleshooting and repair is an asset.
- Experience with complex electronic control systems and their troubleshooting and repair is an asset.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical IT environment is an asset.
- Experience in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry is an asset.
- Experience in hospital automation and healthcare automation is an asset.
- Ability to learn and understand the operation of McKesson automation equipment and then put that knowledge into practice.
- Ability to learn and understand, from an IT perspective, how McKesson pharmacy solutions work, including Reflex Rx and Point of Sale (POS) systems.
- The person holding the position will be required to use their own vehicle.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds.
- Relevant front-line experience in technical customer service in the field is an important asset.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- French-English bilingualism.

- Be physically capable of moving large boxes and equipment weighing up to 30 kg, as well as performing installation work in cabinets and overhead spaces as required.
