Autodesk is looking for a Technical Marketing Manager for its construction software portfolio and Forma industry cloud to provide technical marketing assets, share industry insights, and help guide our product storytelling initiatives to ensure we speak to our customers in a grounded and credible way. Activities will include the creation of datasets, creative assets (video, images, infographics, etc.), enablement tools, use-case scenarios, technical presentations, marketing campaign assets, and more. You will also present and deliver technical materials in various ways, including virtual and in-person presentations.

As a Technical Marketing Manager, you will also interface with Customers, Sales, Channel Partners, Product/Product Line Managers, and Product/Audience Marketing Managers. You will be a go-to resource on the AECO Marketing team to serve as a subject matter expert for the construction industry and our products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Autodesk's technical storytelling for construction products, producing customer-facing technical content using a variety of live, digital, and visual media
  • Source or create foundational assets needed to support technical marketing activities, such as real-world data sets, sales presentations, and technical demonstrations
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including audience and product marketing, industry strategy, product management, sales, and customer success, to contribute to marketing initiatives for global use
  • Participate in the integrated marketing plan for the construction audience to drive audience awareness, preference, and adoption of our solutions globally
  • Partner with sales, product marketing, growth marketing, and demand generation teams on plans and campaigns that drive ACV.

Requirements

  • You are a storyteller who translates feature speak into customer benefits and outcomes that resonate with employees, customers, partners, analysts, and media.
  • You have proficiency in video and multi-media software such as Camtasia, Adobe Creative Cloud, Navattic, Wistia or comparable software to be able to self-produce technical content
  • You demonstrate initiative, accountability, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex projects.
  • You are data-driven marketer who uses data and analytics to measure and optimize marketing efforts and programs.
  • 3+ years of experience in a product marketing or technical marketing role, with construction industry experience preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a technical marketing, technical sales, consulting, or customer success role
  • Knowledge of the AECO lifecycle process, with deep subject matter expertise in the various construction workflows
  • Proficiency in Forma (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) products, and at least familiarity with additional Autodesk design and construction software such as Navisworks, ReCap Pro, Revit, Civil 3D and Forma.
  • You are passionate about design, technology, and innovation across the AECO industry
  • Your own industry experience uniquely qualifies you to converse with, challenge and inspire those that you work with
  • You possess the ability to give a presentation vs. reading bullet points off a PowerPoint. The ability to inspire audiences with your enthusiasm and genuinely positive outlook on digital transformation
  • You excel at creating fresh, dynamic, and compelling technical content
  • You are a storyteller; you look forward to sharing your work via web, social, virtual, and in-person channels
  • You enjoy working with a diverse group of talented people who collaborate intensely in pursuit of common goals
  • You are comfortable working in a distributed and virtual work environment
  • You can imagine, initiate, and manage your projects from start to finish
  • You embrace the fast-paced, competitive, and demanding world that your work will influence
