Description
Leidos is currently seeking a Software Specialist to join our team.
Responsibilities
Duties include analysis of systems requirements, timelines, requirements allocation, defining interfaces, system testing and integration and quality assurance. Responsible for technical planning and system design, development and integration, and system verification and validation. Influences development of innovative solutions that impact strategic customer goals results. Recommend new technical solutions in support of strategy and operations. Includes work of other technical staff that impact on project results and outputs. Applies technical knowledge to resolve highlight complex problems, develops innovative solutions through research and integration of best practices. Ability to communicate with leadership regarding matters of significant importance, including new concepts, practices and approaches. Proven ability to influence others with respect to weighing the pros and cons of alternatives and the best value approach to phased solutioning.
Requirements
- Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Able to effectively utilize core scripting languages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional experience in lieu of degree.
- Has in-depth understanding of Core programming tools (i.e. Python), ServiceNow principles, algorithmic theories, data analysis concepts and their application across range of deliverables
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a non-prem environment
- Experience navigating proprietary customer developed systems
- Able to create and present power point presentations to demonstrate concepts and solution pathways.
- Experience in the Service Now Modules of; Inventory, Procurement, Software Activation, Report Generation
- Experience working with Data Analysis and presentation tools such as PowerBI and Tableau.

Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. We are looking for a Substation Protection & Controls Engineer to join our team. As a Career Protection & Control Engineer, candidates will have the opportunity to design substation protection and control projects for electric utilities at voltages from 12kV up to 500kV. This is an exciting and growing field in the power systems industry and allows candidates to get exposure to how the power generation such as that of renewable energy ties into the electric system. Candidates will be expected to use knowledge of digital logic design, AC and DC circuits to design substation electrical projects.
HYBRID SCHEDULE: Candidates must live in Framingham, MA office's client servicing territory. MA, CT, NH, RI. (1 - 4 days in office.)
