Responsibilities

About your tasks

• Develop and successfully implement purchasing strategies for the OTC and free choice areas.
• Conduct annual and condition negotiations with manufacturers - with a particular focus on central KPIs such as purchasing discounts, bonuses and payment conditions.
• Analyze and optimize KPI-based control variables such as margin, sales development, delivery performance and sales dynamics.
• Identify growth and margin potential in the product range and align these with company goals.
• Work closely with Retail Media, Category Management and Demand & Supply to derive and implement joint measures.
• Observe and analyze market and competitive developments in the OTC and free choice segment as a basis for strategic decisions.
• Build sustainable, collaborative relationships with manufacturers and maintain them continuously.

Requirements

About you

• Completed studies in the commercial field or comparable commercial training.
• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing, ideally in the OTC/Free Choice or FMCG (Health & Beauty) sector.
• Persuasiveness and well-founded experience in price and condition negotiations with manufacturers.
• Strong analytical skills in dealing with key figures and reports – combined with a pragmatic approach.
• Confident use of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Good knowledge of spoken and written English.
• Experience with inventory management and analysis tools is desirable.
• You are willing to travel – for annual discussions / personal meetings with our suppliers.
• Our hybrid working model requires that you live in Vienna or the surrounding area or can be there regularly.
