Role Summary
HBX Group is the world’s leading technology partner, connecting and empowering the world of travel. We’re game-changers, disruptors, the people who bring together local and global brands in accommodation, transport, activities and payments through our network of 300,000 hotels worldwide, 60,000 hard to reach high value clients such as tour operators, travel agents and loyalty schemes across 140 source markets. We are tech-driven, with a customer-first philosophy, and commercial teams whose knowledge and relationships on the ground are second to none. And of course we have an amazing team! Our people, Team HBX Group , are the beating heart of the company who we encourage to ‘move fast, dream big and make the difference’ every day. In fact, we believe that it is tech + data + people that truly sets us apart in the market, alongside our ‘global approach, local touch’ mentality. We’re headquartered in Palma, Mallorca and employ around 3,500 people worldwide.
HBX Group is looking for a Strategic Account Manager to own and grow a focused portfolio of our top-tier accounts across the Americas. This isn't a high-volume book of business — it's a small number of our most strategic relationships, and we're looking for someone who wants to go deep, not wide.
You'll partner directly with senior stakeholders at some of the region's most important travel, distribution, and fintech companies, acting less like an account manager and more like a strategic advisor embedded in their business. The travel industry is moving from a vendor model to an ecosystem model — the accounts you manage will be at the center of that shift, and you'll be the one helping them see (and capture) the opportunity in it.
Responsibilities
Own commercial strategy and growth for a curated portfolio of top-tier accounts, including share-of-wallet analysis, funnel mapping, and multi-year account planning
- Build senior-level relationships that go beyond the day-to-day — you're a trusted advisor, not a ticket-taker
- Identify white space within existing accounts and build the business case to go after it
- Navigate complex commercial conversations — pricing, contract renewals, performance disputes — with data-forward rigor and a collaborative tone
- Partner cross-functionally (product, connectivity, marketing, finance) to bring the full HBX ecosystem to your accounts
- Represent HBX at industry events and in client-facing forums as a credible voice on where travel distribution is headed
Requirements
- Significant experience in strategic account management, enterprise sales, or partnerships within travel, travel technology, or a related B2B ecosystem
- A track record of managing complex, high-value accounts — not just maintaining them, but growing them
- Comfort operating at the intersection of data and relationship: you can build a share-of-wallet model and walk a C-suite stakeholder through it in the same week
- A bias toward being bold, not defensive — someone who sees fragmentation and disruption in travel as opportunity, not threat
- Strong written and verbal communication; you can hold your own in a room with senior decision-makers
- Highly organized — you can juggle multiple complex accounts, stakeholders, and moving pieces without dropping the ball
- Fluent with AI tools to run data analysis and inform strategic decisions — you don't just report on account performance, you use AI to find the insight in it faster
- Comfortable with a remote-first team and self-directed ownership of your book of business
- Google Ads knowledge and OTA (Online Travel Agency) experience preferred
- A competitive streak when it comes to winning against the competition, paired with a genuine team-player mentality internally — you play to win in the market, not against your own colleagues
At HBX Group , we believe that diversity drives innovation and makes travel a force for good. We're committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued and respected, embracing different backgrounds, perspectives and talents. Join us and be part of a team where diversity and equal opportunities really do make a difference.
You will have the opportunity to work for a company that is going through significant change in becoming the world´s leading travel services provider. We are looking for people that are ready to ride the wave in this exciting journey.
As well as an attractive benefits package you will be able to work:
- Within an innovative, engaging and multicultural environment.
- Have the opportunity to build strong and lasting business relationships and friendships from around the world.
- Have the opportunity in developing your career locally or within one of our beautiful working locations across the globe.
About the Company
About HBX Group
HBX Group is a leading B2B TravelTech ecosystem, connecting and empowering businesses across the global travel industry. Through our cloud-based technology platforms, we provide fast, reliable access to a diverse portfolio of travel products and services. Leveraging technology, data, and market intelligence, we help connect travel supply and demand at scale across the world.
As we continue to grow our Mobility & Experiences division, we are looking for a Platform Engineer to join the Infrastructure Team supporting our Car Rental Platform — a high-performance, low-latency integration system connecting supplier and distribution partners worldwide.
In this role, you will take ownership of the cloud infrastructure that underpins millions of travel transactions. You will work across the full breadth of the platform stack — compute, networking, databases, observability, and delivery pipelines — as part of a small, autonomous team where initiative and accountability matter more than process.
How We Work
Fully remote, distributed team.
Small team, low bureaucracy, direct impact on the platform.
Agile practices: CI for environment builds, Kanban, automation-first mindset.
DevOps culture — you build it, you run it, you improve it.
On-call shared across the team; incidents are learning opportunities, not blame games.
Ownership over meaningful, business-critical infrastructure.
Variety — you won't be pigeonholed into one domain.
