🌍 Technical Subsidence Specialist – Join the Davies Team
Based ideally Leeds & Surrounding areas
Are you ready to take on some of the most technically challenging and rewarding subsidence claims in the industry?
Davies is looking for a skilled, motivated professional to join our specialist subsidence division — someone who thrives on complex problem‑solving, enjoys autonomy, and wants to make a real impact for clients and policyholders.
This is a home‑based role with travel you will ideally be based around the Leeds area with the freedom to manage your own workload while being part of a supportive, expert team.
Responsibilities
You’ll be the technical lead on our more complex domestic and commercial subsidence claims, providing expert guidance to colleagues and clients. Your work will include:
- Managing complex subsidence investigations from first visit to final resolution
- Visiting damaged properties to assess structural, technical and insurance‑related issues
- Designing and overseeing stabilisation schemes and repair strategies
- Producing high‑quality technical reports, specifications and tender documents
- Interpreting geotechnical investigations and advising on foundation solutions
- Administering building contracts, valuations and variations
- Ensuring compliance with Building Regulations, Planning, CDM and Party Wall legislation
- Working closely with policyholders, insurers, loss adjusters, contractors and local authorities
- Supporting and mentoring colleagues, and contributing to training delivery
- Maintaining accurate case records and meeting service level expectations
- You’ll also play a key role in strengthening client relationships and supporting other Davies divisions when needed.

Requirements
- We’re looking for someone with the technical depth and confidence to handle highly complex subsidence cases. You’ll ideally have:
- A degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Building Surveying or a related discipline
- Strong experience in subsidence investigation and building pathology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive, organised approach and the ability to work independently
- A flexible mindset and the resilience to thrive in a fast‑paced environment
- Solid understanding of buildings insurance, contract administration and construction law
- A full, clean UK driving licence
- Enthusiasm, professionalism and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service are essential.

Davies North America is rapidly expanding in our commercial transportation division. We are looking to add Liability Commercial adjusters with Bodily Injury and Litigation experience to our rapidly growing Transportation division. We are seeking candidates with the ability to provide excellent customer service, properly analyze and apply coverage, and adjudicate Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims in a professional manner.
Strong verbal and reporting skills are necessary to provide detailed reports to the clients. A college degree is preferred. Prior experience with commercial trucking and transportation claims is required.
The ideal adjuster has the ability to work efficiently and effectively with insureds, claimants, attorneys and outside vendors to confirm coverage, determine liability and evaluate damages through timely and diligent claim investigations. We are seeking candidates who hold multi-state licenses; at a minimum the candidate must hold a valid Texas license with the ability to quickly secure reciprocal licenses in other states.
