Job description
- Salary:
- USD 4,500 per month
- Location:
- Chile
- Work arrangement:
- On-site
Role Summary
At Fintual we make investments simple, transparent and accessible to everyone.
We were born with the idea that anyone, regardless of the money they have, can invest their savings well and grow their assets. Half of our clients say that before Fintual they had no experience managing their money, so the challenge is to show them how they can do it and help them make it a habit.
In addition, we are the first startup in Latin America to launch its own funds to invest and the first AGF in Chile to connect to the Automated Clearing Center to appear on the banks' transfer list.
We want to add a Software Engineer who enjoys getting into systems and understanding how they really work. This person would join our Back squad, in charge of building and maintaining the infrastructure and base systems that support Fintual products, focusing on scalability, reliability, security and operation.
That means getting into things like
- How we deploy and operate services
- How we design systems that don't crash (or recover quickly)
- How we build a secure product
- How do we debug when something fails in production
- How we improve performance, latency and resource use
- How we make developing and operating simpler for the rest of the team
Much of what you build will not be seen.
But it will impact everyone.
What kind of problems are you going to solve?
What is the process like?
Before applying to the application, you must complete a task that should take you about 2-6 hours depending on how much you want to advance, then when applying you will have to attach the GitHub, Gitfront.io, or other repository link with the answer. The code base and the tasks to be performed are here:
Once the code has been reviewed, these are the stages:
Screening (30 min) with TL and/or CTO + People to get to know you and tell you more about the position.
Technical interview (50 min) in which you will have to program live something that we ask of you.
Conversation (30 min) with a team member.
Employment reference check.
👩🏻💻 Did you know that if you are a woman you are among the 35% of the population who studied a STEM career? In our experience, women apply for fewer positions than men if they see that they do not meet all the requirements. So if you're doubting it, don't think about it too much.
Salary compensation
Once you pass the technical interview, we will define what technical level we see you at and based on that level we prepare the salary offer. To give you an idea, for this role we are looking for:
Level 4 (from 4500 USD)
*Ranks may vary depending on your experience and salary is paid in local currency of the contracting country (Chile or Mexico).
