In demanding large-scale projects in hydraulic, tunnel and special civil engineering, you will grow into a central professional role and play a significant role in shaping the geotechnical object and structural planning. As a contact person for FE calculations, you will strengthen our geotechnics team, support colleagues with complex issues and continuously develop into a supporting pillar of our team.
As a senior project manager in geotechnics, you will take on technical responsibility for geotechnical design and implementation planning as well as the operational support of projects in specialist civil engineering. You will work closely with interdisciplinary project teams and contribute your expertise specifically to planning, calculation and implementation.
Responsibilities
- Independent processing and management of geotechnical sub-projects
- Technical leadership and support of the project team in all phases of performance
- Geotechnical design and execution planning for excavations, deep foundations, subsoil improvements and special civil engineering measures
- Execution and evaluation of 2D and 3D FEM calculations for soil-structure interaction as part of structural planning and usability
- Participation in construction cost estimates, construction process and scheduling
- Participation in senior construction management and construction supervision for a limited period of time
- Active participation in cost optimization and project control
- Interdisciplinary and international project work
- Regular communication with customers and project teams (German / English)
Requirements
- Successfully completed studies in civil engineering with a focus on geotechnics (Bachelor/Master/PhD)
- Several years of relevant professional experience, ideally with initial project management responsibility
- Experience in design, approval and execution planning
- Project experience in special foundation engineering, civil engineering or tunnel construction
- Confident use of design software (e.g. GGU, FRILO, RFEM, Plaxis)
- Team-oriented, committed personality with initiative
- Very good knowledge of German and English

About the Company
Our geotechnical group in the field of hydraulic engineering and civil engineering | Marine & Civil Engineering combines civil engineering, geotechnics and geology. In Hamburg, Hanover or Berlin, you will work in a 22-person geotechnical engineering team, embedded in an interdisciplinary unit of around 90 people, with access to the global Ramboll knowledge network with over 18,000 experts.
