Senior Java Developer

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer who can make a significant contribution to our activities in the picturesque heart of Switzerland.

You will work closely with our client's credit team and act as a senior developer. Our cluster is responsible for creating, innovating and maintaining a new microservice-based lending platform that enables customer advisors across Switzerland to carry out front and back office work autonomously. It is a robust environment in which regulatory and accounting activities can be carried out autonomously and asynchronously, while also providing enhanced support for analytics and prospect onboarding.

Responsibilities - Deliver technology solutions that solve business problems and strengthen our position as digital leaders

• Collaborate daily with the customer and teams in other locations
• Design, plan and deliver sustainable solutions using Java and the associated ecosystem
• Support the leadership of our growing team of analysts and engineers in developing new applications and improving existing applications
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations to assess requirements and initiatives and support and improve existing applications
• Lead in conducting code reviews, testing the software as required, and participating in application architecture, design, and other phases of the SDLC
• Ensure appropriate operational controls and procedures are implemented
• Support production users and investigate issues in production when contacted by the L2 support team

Requirements - Strong programming experience in Java

• Knowledge of
• Spring (Boot, Cloud, Security, REST)
• Microservice architecture patterns

• Oracle SQL, PL/SQL
• Maven/Gradle, GIT
• Asynchronous processing of data (scheduler, messaging)
• Multi-layered software systems in complex environments
• Structured problem-solving skills
• Willingness to learn the intricacies of a new, feature-rich business area
• Ability to easily navigate complex data structures
• Good abstraction skills
• Good design-oriented thinking
• Ability to work full-stack on a software component that has a wide range of technologies from a service-oriented backend to our Eclipse Rich Client
• Willingness to integrate well into a large, diverse team
• Knowledge of German is a significant advantage
