Role Summary

Our Corporate Finance department is responsible for a wide range of topics from corporate accounting, reporting, taxes, treasury and integrated planning at our headquarters in Munich.

Within the Corporate Accounting & Reporting team, the role takes on a central part in the creation and further development of external group reporting and IFRS governance:

  • Responsibility for the preparation of external group reporting (quarterly statements, annual financial statements, annual report including primaries and notes)
  • Ensuring timely, high-quality and targeted reporting, as well as controlling and coordinating all relevant stakeholders in the reporting process
  • Technical support for the consolidated financial statements audit in close coordination with auditors
  • Further development and implementation of group guidelines and accounting policies with a focus on IFRS
  • Contact person for complex accounting issues at group level
  • Leading involvement in regulatory innovations (e.g. IFRS 18)
  • Advice and support on complex consolidation issues (e.g. initial/deconsolidation, special cases)
  • Work closely with the consolidation team to ensure consistent closing processes
  • Driver for the optimization, standardization and automation of reporting processes

Participation in the introduction and further development of disclosure and reporting tools, especially with regard to reducing manual effort and increasing data and process quality

Requirements

  • Successfully completed business studies with a focus on international accounting/accounting/controlling
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in the area of accounting in an international corporate environment, in group reporting, accounting policies or in auditing
  • Very in-depth knowledge of IFRS (including current developments) as well as solid knowledge of HGB
  • Experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and business reports
  • Ideally experience with disclosure management tools as well as in the SAP and Tagetik environment
  • High level of technical depth with a simultaneous eye for the overall context
  • Structured, precise and quality-oriented way of working
  • Assertiveness and ability to drive issues across the group
  • Stakeholder management and communication skills in an international environment
  • Motivation to actively develop processes and take responsibility
  • Fluent German and very good English skills
