Senior Data Engineer (m/w/d) at Sopra Steria in nationwide, Germany.

Role Summary

  • The development and optimization of modern analytics and data management solutions is in your hands - from conception to implementation
  • You manage complex projects in the area of data & analytics and take responsibility for their success
  • Designing data architectures, designing models and implementing ETL/ELT processes are part of your everyday life
  • You will use and further develop current technologies such as MS SQL Server, MS Azure, MS Fabric, Databricks or Cloudera
  • You will advise our customers on best practices in data integration and data management and support them in selecting modern data platforms

Consulting means flexibility: Your project assignment depends on our customers and your project situation - you work throughout Germany in our offices, at the customer's site and from home

Requirements

  • Completed studies in (business) informatics, mathematics or natural sciences
  • Several years of project experience in data & analytics, data engineering or business intelligence
  • In-depth knowledge of at least one of the technologies: MS SQL Server, MS Azure, MS Fabric, Databricks or Cloudera
  • Experience in developing and optimizing data architectures as well as designing data integration processes
  • Ideally, know-how in visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau or IBM Cognos
  • Analytical thinking, quality awareness and strong communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of German (from C1 level) and knowledge of English round off your profile
