Our vision is
We strive to be the best partner for our customers on their investment journey
At the beginning of 2025, the Finanz Group was acquired by Inflexion, a leading European private equity company in the mid-cap segment. Inflexion supports ambitious management teams in further developing high-growth companies and scaling them sustainably.
As part of the takeover, the previously independently managed business units will be strategically merged. This realignment and the group's strong innovative strength create new growth opportunities to further expand the market position as a leading investment platform.
In order to successfully implement the growth strategy and the value enhancement program, we are looking for committed talents who would like to actively shape this change.
Flexibility meets team spirit. We meet several times a year for workshops, team events, etc. in Karlsruhe.
You build the platform on which our feature teams can deliver quickly and reliably.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer (sometimes called DevOps Engineer) to work with us to further develop our continuous delivery pipeline and the surrounding AWS native platform. Our stack runs entirely on AWS, primarily with ECS and Lambda, supplemented by other AWS services such as SQS, SNS, S3, DynamoDB and Aurora MySQL. Our infrastructure is defined as code — with CloudFormation (CFN) and CDK in TypeScript. The role's focus is on infrastructure work: CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure and developer tooling to enable our feature teams to deliver quickly and reliably.
Our team’s customers are the feature teams. A strong focus on developer experience — including local development tooling — is therefore a central part of the task. In addition, the role also includes non-feature-related technical topics such as the selection and further development of our common tooling stack.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with feature teams as internal customers — understanding their needs and providing reliable platform capabilities.
- Help design, build and continually improve our continuous delivery pipeline on AWS; this includes workflows for automated builds, tests and deployments.
- Design and implement AWS infrastructure for AWS services using CloudFormation (CFN) and CDK in TypeScript.
- Contribute to architectural decisions and the further development of our tooling landscape in the engineering teams.
- Operate and further develop supporting services such as AWS CodeArtifact and ECR for artifact and container image management.
- Configure and operate central platform components.
- Provide and further develop local developer tooling to improve the developer experience for our feature teams.
Requirements
- Senior level expertise in developing platform and CI/CD strategies as well as the ability to make sound technical decisions and work independently
- Strong ability to work closely with feature teams and within the Platform team to implement technical solutions
- Profound experience with AWS, particularly ECS, VPC, as well as AWS WAF, CloudFront and CloudFormation (CFN)
- Good knowledge of TypeScript, basic knowledge of Java
- Confident use of Gradle, Git, as well as AWS CodeArtifact and ECR, experience with AWS CDK in TypeScript, networking (VPN setup) are a plus
- Hands-on experience in building local developer tooling and strong understanding of developer experience
- Optional experience with Spring Boot, Angular or Flutter as well as knowledge of network technologies and VPN configuration
- Fluent conversational skills in German are required
Benefits
- With us, you will take on real platform responsibility with an impact on the feature development teams - embedded in a company with over 250 colleagues that is characterized by trust, flexibility and real collaboration, supplemented by up to 15 days of work within the EU per calendar year.
- We actively promote your personal and professional development through training, seminars and conferences in a dynamic FinTech and stocks/finance environment. We attach great importance to open cooperation, team spirit and shared success.
You can also expect these benefits
- Modern office hubs
- Further training offers in the area of financial markets/investments
- Regular team events & strong corporate culture
- Health & mobility offers (job bike, public transport subsidy)
- Attractive financial benefits & other extras
An environment in which you can contribute, develop and feel comfortable.
