Role Summary
As a member of our central finance department, you will be responsible for the following tasks:
Independent processing of the day-to-day business (travel expenses, banks, intercompany billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable and asset accounting) of one or more companies in the group
- Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and local accounting
- Critical review and analytical validation of financial data
- Creation of reports and reporting for internal and external accounting
- Contact person for external partners, such as tax advisors, auditors and authorities
- Support in the preparation of advance sales tax returns, statistical reports, tax refund applications and the annual income tax return
- Responsible for the valuation, accounting and reporting of financial instruments and investments based on HGB and IFRS regulations
- Responsible for the closing processes within the Brainlab Group
- Contact person for IFRS 16 topics within the Brainlab Group
Requirements
Commercial training or studies with a focus on accounting, taxes, controlling or similar.
- At least 5 years of professional experience, particularly in accounting and the closing process, as well as knowledge of international accounting (IFRS) and HGB
- Confident use of Excel and SAP Analysis for Office
- Very good accounting knowledge of IFRS and HGB
- Knowledge of SAP applications is an advantage
- Sound knowledge of German and English
- Analytical thinking and the ability to work on new issues with joy and implement solutions independently
