Senior Accountant for Netcompany Banking Services (f/m) at Netcompany in Warsaw, Poland.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Accountant you will

• Classify business transactions for VAT, CIT, and other tax implications, and ensuring their proper recording in the general ledger,
• Manage and overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes,
• Prepare statutory and group financial reports,
• Report to external institutions (GUS, NBP, and other regulatory bodies),
• Cooperate with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities (Tax Office), and the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS),
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis processes,
• Identifying accounting and tax risks, and implementing corrective actions and process improvements,
• Participate in optimization and standardization projects within finance and controlling.

Requirements

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field,
• 5–7 years of experience in finance and accounting, including experience in a senior role,
• Very good knowledge of tax regulations (VAT, CIT, WHT) and IFRS standards (preferred),
• Strong knowledge of period-end closing and financial reporting processes,
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and financial systems/tools,
• Ability to analytically assess transactions and identify tax and accounting risks,
• Experience working with auditors and public institutions (Tax Office, Social Insurance Institution – ZUS, Central Statistical Office – GUS, National Bank of Poland – NBP),
• Highly developed organizational skills and ability to prioritize effectively,
• Proactive attitude with a continuous improvement mindset,
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision)
• Experience in an audit environment or within an international organization will be a strong asset
