Role Summary

We are looking for a quality inspector with great attention to detail and analytical skills to join our team in Alajuela, Costa Rica. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting extensive quality inspections at all of our production facilities to ensure that all products meet our rigorous quality standards and specifications. As a Quality Inspector, you will work autonomously across all of our manufacturing areas, identifying defects, documenting findings, and collaborating with production teams to maintain consistent quality excellence. Your meticulous approach and problem-solving skills will be essential to maintaining our commitment to quality and continuous improvement.

Ability to work autonomously carrying out inspections of products and processes in different production areas, identifying quality defects, non-conformities and following up on required actions.

  • Carry out detailed measurements and tests using precision instruments and quality control equipment
  • Document inspection results, defects and observations in a clear and organized manner
  • Analyze quality data and identify trends to support continuous improvement initiatives

Collaborate with production and engineering teams to investigate quality issues and recommend corrective actions.

Ensure compliance with established quality standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.

Maintain accurate records of inspection activities and keep inspection equipment in good working order.

Timely communicate quality concerns and conclusions to supervisors and relevant departments.

Perform statistical analysis and produce quality reports as required

Collaborate on root cause analysis investigations for recurring quality issues

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as a quality inspector or in a similar position related to quality control
  • Solid knowledge of quality standards and inspection methodologies (knowledge of ISO standards will be an advantage)
  • Proficiency in the use of precision measurement tools, such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers
  • Intermediate English.
  • Basic-intermediate use of Microsoft Excel for data analysis, preparation of reports, tables and graphs.
  • Use of Microsoft PowerPoint for the preparation and presentation of results, trend analysis, quality findings and action plans.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects and deviations
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage time effectively
  • Mastery of data recording, documentation and basic computer knowledge
  • Clear communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) will be valued
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment will be an advantage
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and move around production areas
