We are currently looking for a Project Sales Engineer (C&I) to join our team in Spain, playing a key role in project execution, achieving specifications and expanding Eaton's presence in the market.

The Project Sales Engineer (Level 2) is a position with commercial responsibility and a strong execution orientation within the C&I Project Sales organization. The position is responsible for securing, protecting and maximizing Eaton's specified opportunities throughout the execution phase of projects.

Acting as the primary business partner with installers, panel builders and general contractors, this individual will ensure projects are delivered to specifications, while actively identifying and converting unspecified opportunities into business for Eaton.

The role combines technical knowledge with a strong commercial orientation, including price negotiation, stakeholder alignment and proactive project information management to avoid loss of specifications and maximize the value provided by Eaton in the final delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, qualify and develop new project opportunities, including unspecified projects.
  • Plan and manage the territory, accounts and commercial activities to build a solid pipeline.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with installers, electrical panel manufacturers, contractors and other key stakeholders.
  • Conduct discovery meetings and regular follow-ups with target accounts.
  • Lead bidding participation decisions (bid/no-bid) and inform internal teams about new opportunities.
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as Quotation Factory, Specification Engineering and Engineering Back Office.
  • Track pre-specified projects using technical and application information.
  • Ensure RFQs are channeled to frame manufacturing partners aligned with Eaton's strategy.
  • Manage and negotiate all commercial aspects related to offers and tenders.
  • Protect, secure and convert Eaton specifications with contractors and end users.
  • Identify and drive cross-sell opportunities for other Eaton solutions.
  • Give technical presentations, training sessions and "Lunch & Learn" type events.
  • Design and present commercially competitive solutions that comply with specifications.
  • Channel opportunities to the appropriate divisions and partner networks within the Eaton ecosystem.
  • Conduct business reviews with strategic accounts and key stakeholders.
  • Manage and update pipeline information, opportunities and offers.
  • Complete the required administrative and reporting tasks.
  • Share market and project information to avoid the erosion of specifications.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of commercial and execution processes.
  • Participate in sector events and expand the professional network.

Training and experience

  • Professional training, relevant work experience or university degree related to the position.
  • Between 2 and 5 years of experience in project environments within sectors such as commercial buildings, industry, infrastructure or construction.
  • Previous experience in different areas related to electrical solutions will be especially valued, such as power distribution, electrical management, power quality, industrial automation, critical infrastructure or other associated technologies.
