To be convincing in this position, you should have successfully completed a relevant degree with a traffic science background and at least 5 years of project experience in planning public transport projects (preferably light rail). As a project manager / senior consultant (m/f/d), you will support our team in the early planning phases of exciting public transport projects (focus on rail-based). Discover a wide range of activities:

  • Technical management and processing of projects in planning and consulting primarily in rail-based public transport in national and international projects
  • Project-related personnel responsibility and budget controlling
  • Presentation of the project results within the project and to the public
  • Support in the acquisition of new projects

These include

  • Professional experience in planning feasibility studies in public transport or in the economic viability of public transport systems
  • Experience in an interface topic of infrastructure, operations, demand or economics is an advantage
  • Experience with relevant software systems (e.g. GIS, VISUM, CAD, PowerBI, Python)
  • Structured approach in project and offer management
  • Successfully completed studies in engineering, economics or geography
  • Very good knowledge of German and English, both spoken and written
  • High communication and presentation skills, budget management skills are an advantage
  • Initiative and motivation
  • Reliable, solution-oriented and systematic way of working

The Ramboll Light Rail Competence Center Karlsruhe looks after public transport systems throughout Europe. This includes the construction of new rail systems such as the People Mover at Frankfurt Airport or the new introduction of a high-quality public transport system in Kiel in a comparison between BRT and tram, as well as the expansion and renewal of existing public transport systems in Frankfurt and Berlin. We look at mobility as a whole and develop integrated solutions in the areas of traffic planning, infrastructure and operations/vehicles/systems.
