Role Summary

Locations: Hamburg, Hanover, Rostock, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Essen, Erlangen, Munich, Karlsruhe, Dresden

Do you have experience in the planning of pedestrian and cycle path bridges and would you like to take the next step towards project management - or have you already managed your first projects or planning packages independently? Then Ramboll offers you the opportunity to combine your professional experience with increasing project responsibility.

In addition, do you not only want to plan sophisticated bridge projects, but also actively help shape them - from the initial idea to the implementation planning? With us in Ramboll you will work on demanding railway infrastructure projects that make mobility more sustainable, safer and more future-proof and you can support the transport transition with your commitment. You stay close to the technical planning and at the same time develop methodically and organizationally - with experienced colleagues as sparring partners.

In this role, you combine your experience in the planning of pedestrian and cycle path bridges and architectural competitions with the expansion of your project management responsibilities. Depending on your experience, you will initially take responsibility for sub-projects, planning packages or smaller projects and eventually develop towards overall project management.

You control planning teams, coordinate interfaces to other specialist disciplines and external project participants and ensure that deadlines, quality and technical requirements are reliably adhered to. At the same time, you will actively contribute your technical expertise to property planning and design viable, sustainable and economical solutions for our clients.

Requirements

Your main tasks will be

  • Taking on project management tasks in pedestrian and cycle path bridge projects as well as competitions - depending on experience for sub-projects, planning packages or smaller projects.
  • Coordination of internal planning teams and external project participants.
  • Control of deadlines, quality, interfaces and planning processes.
  • Communication with clients, project partners and specialist disciplines.
  • Technical processing and quality assurance in the planning of road bridges and other traffic structures.
  • Participation in preliminary, draft, approval and execution planning.
  • Preparation and support of acquisition projects for the expansion of our rail infrastructure service area.

Your new environment

You will become part of an experienced, cross-location and helpful team in our “Bridges” department. Regardless of your location, you are closely integrated into the department - with regular department formats, permanent sparring partners and direct collaboration in ongoing projects. You will coordinate with other specialist disciplines such as geotechnics, environmental planning, open space planning and construction logistics.

At the same time, you are part of our international Ramboll community in the Bridges area. This means you benefit from local team cohesion, regular knowledge exchange and the experience of colleagues from different countries and projects.

About you

  • You have successfully completed a degree in civil engineering, ideally with a focus on structural engineering.
  • You have several years of experience in the planning of bridges and other transport structures and would like to expand your role to include project management tasks.
  • Initial experience in coordinating planning teams, client communication or project management is ideal - but what is more important to us is your willingness to take on responsibility and develop yourself further into this role.
  • You know relevant regulations such as RIL or are willing to delve deeper into them.
  • You appear confident and authoritative, communicate clearly and enjoy working in a team and with different specialist disciplines.
  • Interest or experience in processing competitions, offers or acquisition projects is an advantage.
  • Very good knowledge of spoken and written German.

What we offer you

  • A clear development path from the experienced property planner towards project management.
  • Support and sparring from experienced project managers and colleagues.
  • Creative scope for the further expansion of our rail infrastructure service area.
  • Development opportunities in project management, client communication and leading interdisciplinary planning teams.
  • Flexible working hours, hybrid working models, permanent employment and attractive additional benefits and modern office workplaces.
  • A permanent position, also part-time if necessary.
  • A comprehensively subsidized Germany ticket.
  • 30 vacation days, company rest days on December 24th and 31st and mental health offers.
  • Access to the Corporate Benefits Portal with discounted offers from various companies.
  • A collegial environment with flat hierarchies, an open culture of discussion and helpful colleagues.
  • The long-term thinking of a foundation-owned company.
