Role Summary
You work with a team consisting of experienced colleagues from the areas of product management, research & development, sales and application technology, which focus on building products in all areas of application in the construction sector and are responsible for the area of joint sealants, bonding of building products and construction foams.
You design and control the product portfolio across the entire product life cycle as well as the product development and innovation process of the product area assigned to you. In doing so, you take into account the different requirements of the direct business, distribution and PIP sales channels.
Based on independently prepared technical market and competition analyses, you will derive and implement technical product marketing concepts, strategies and plans.
The marketing units coordinate and support you in technical product marketing and maintain the European product portfolio.
Interdisciplinary project management from the new product idea to the introduction of the product as well as within the framework of special projects.
You control technical innovation processes and provide product information and equipment.
In addition, you are responsible for further expanding the existing network. This is done, among other things, by conducting training and further education as well as participating in trade fairs, specialist conferences and association activities.
As a product manager, you will carry out your activities in a Sika factory as well as at business and construction site appointments throughout Germany.
Requirements
- Based on your completed construction-oriented degree or comparable training, you ideally have several years of professional and project experience in product management and/or product marketing.
- You have a good knowledge of structural, physical and chemical relationships. Ideally, you already have specialist knowledge of the applicable standards and regulations in the areas of joint sealants, adhesives and construction foams.
- You have good analytical skills, a structured way of working, as well as a high degree of empathy and a hands-on mentality as well as assertiveness and a solution-oriented approach.
- You are very familiar with methods of product introduction, creation and maintenance of the product portfolio as well as market and competition observation.
- You can convince your audience and inspire them with your ideas during presentations and negotiations in both German and English. Digital work tools (MS Office, Salesforce, Orca-Norm, etc.) do not pose a challenge.
- In your previous activities, you have proven yourself to be a customer-oriented personality who acts entrepreneurially and keeps an eye on mutual success.
- Your skills include using digital work tools (MS Office, Salesforce, Orca-Norm, etc.).
