Role Summary

You will work on pioneering digital solutions in a project that aims to develop a web-based application for the automation, optimization and maintenance of software release processes.

During your internship, you will support the design and development of a full-stack web application that streamlines release workflows, improves traceability, and thereby increases the overall efficiency of software delivery. You work with both frontend and backend technologies and implement functions such as release planning, version tracking as well as automated deployment triggers and status dashboards.

Additionally, you will work closely with team members to integrate the application into existing CI/CD pipelines and version management systems and ensure seamless interaction with engineering tools and infrastructure. Your contributions reduce manual effort, minimize errors and increase the transparency of release activities.

Working closely with product owners, DevOps engineers and software developers, you will gain an understanding of the specific requirements of internal stakeholders and translate these into intuitive, reliable and scalable web solutions.

Last but not least, you will keep an eye on current trends and best practices in full-stack development, DevOps and software lifecycle management in order to drive innovative approaches to release automation and maintenance.

Requirements

  • Studies in the field of computer science, engineering, information systems, network technology, business informatics or comparable, with a focus on embedded software
  • Experience in web development using Python and Node.js; Familiarity with Jenkins, Bitbucket and Jira; Understanding of software release processes and CI/CD workflows; Knowledge of RESTful APIs and frontend frameworks; Experience in DevOps or automotive software development is an advantage
  • You grasp complex issues quickly and manage your time effectively; Your motivation and your open-minded nature make you a very good communicative interface; You have strong analytical skills and structured problem-solving skills
  • You are required to be present on site 2-3 days per week; some mobile work is possible
  • Very good knowledge of English and good knowledge of German
