Permacon is a North American leader in the manufacturing of concrete products intended for the exterior landscaping and masonry markets. The company has 8 factories in Quebec and Ontario, and employs more than 250 employees on their various sites. Permacon is a division of Oldcastle® Architectural.

We are currently looking for a Production Machine Operator (Rekers) at our Quebec factory. The desired candidate must be available to work full-time on rotating shifts (day, evening and weekend), according to the collective agreement.

Responsibilities

Under the supervision of the Production Supervisor, candidates must be able to perform various tasks, including:

• Operate and adjust production machines according to safety rules;
• Moved, lifted, deposited and sorted materials using a forklift;
• Rigorously maintain quality standards according to the standards prescribed by the company;
• Carry out replacements on machines;
• Maintain and clean machines;
• Act as a trainer as needed.

Requirements and qualifications required

• Work experience in the manufacturing field;
• Be able to work days, evenings and weekends;
• Autonomy and demonstrated ability to work safely;
• Team spirit and initiative;
• Good learning ability;
• Be comfortable working in a noisy, dusty environment, with equipment and sometimes in high ambient temperatures.
