Role Summary

MAIN FUNCTION

The Operator Machine III has the responsibility of operating a variety of industrial/manufacturing machines following production schedules, product specifications and quality standards. In addition, it has the responsibility of interpreting and applying specifications, drawings and graphs. Follows safety regulations, quality standards, and policies and procedures established by the company.

Responsibilities

  1. Operate (intermediate level) industrial and product or component manufacturing machines following established production schedules, product specifications and quality standards.
  2. Observe the operation of the assigned machine ensuring that products/components are manufactured based on established specifications and standards.
  3. Make adjustments (set up) to industrial machines, as required, if applicable.
  4. Maintain up-to-date records of inspections carried out on industrial machinery following the procedures established by the company, if applicable.
  5. Use measuring instruments and hand tools to make adjustments to industrial machinery, if applicable.
  6. Interpret drawings and graphs of products and/or production processes to ensure the manufacturing of the product following the corresponding specifications.
  7. Carry out movement of raw materials to feed industrial/production machinery following the procedures established by the work area.
  8. Identify deficiencies and repair or maintenance needs required by industrial/production machinery.
  9. Perform visual inspections of the components of the manufactured product, ensuring that they meet quality standards.
  10. Document and deliver production and scrap reports to the corresponding personnel following the procedures and formats established by the company.
  11. Keep your work area clean and tidy by following work area and company policies and procedures.
  12. Refer any abnormality in the product or process to the immediate supervisor or designated personnel.
  13. Keep work areas clean and report unsafe conditions that may affect employee safety.
  14. Handle waste and dispose of it following the procedures established by the company.
  15. Comply with established standards and procedures related to health, safety and the environment.
  16. Actively participate in meetings with department personnel with the objective of discussing operational and/or administrative aspects of the company.
  17. Comply with the standards, policies and procedures established by the Human Resources department and the company.
  18. Usually or regularly operate a motor vehicle as part of the performance of duties and/or occasionally operate suspended floor cranes.

IIoT project responsibilities based on role scope

  1. Discuss key metrics daily with support and production staff (safety, quality situations, previous day's production, actions and IIOT system usage) through the IIOT Dashboard, Visual Display, Tier 1 Board
  2. Maintain and enforce the use of TDM and the PDES system in manufacturing area through manufacturing floor connectivity
  3. Report problems and anomalies in the Tiers meeting through manufacturing floor connectivity

Requirements

Education/Experience/Certifications or Licenses

  • Diploma (completed) Higher School and/or Technical
  • Experience: 1 year in manufacturing processes

Skills/Knowledge

  • Read and write - basic level.
  • Basic knowledge of processes linked to Quality, ISO9001 and ISO14001.
  • Knowledge of processes and tools tied to the LEAN methodology.
  • Management of production machinery at intermediate level.
  • Knowledge in the operation and management of instrumentation tools.
  • Knowledge of multiple operational processes.
  • Knowledge of basic level mathematics.
  • Inventory control management.
  • Knowledge of product inspection and/or basic processes.
  • Ability to plan your tasks daily.
