Role Summary
The occupant of this position is responsible for coordinating and managing labor relations within the organization, ensuring compliance with labor policies and applicable legislation, as well as promoting a harmonious, fair and equitable work environment.
Additionally, this professional will lead and execute recruiting strategies to ensure the hiring of operational personnel (Blue Collar) in a timely and qualified manner, aligned with the needs of the company.
Responsibilities
- Mediate conflicts between employees and management.
- Investigate and resolve employment complaints in a timely and fair manner.
- Conduct internal investigations into possible breaches of labor policies or inappropriate conduct.
- Ensure the company complies with all applicable local, state, and federal labor laws.
- Participate in collective negotiations with unions or worker representatives.
- Provide advice and support to all staff on issues related to labor relations.
- Review, update and implement policies and procedures related to labor relations.
- Prepare detailed reports on findings and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Maintain positive relationships with unions and other labor organizations.
- Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with union representatives.
- Analyze trends in labor relations and propose strategies to face future challenges.
- Coordinate and supervise the entire recruitment cycle, from the publication of vacancies to the final selection.
- Cover 100% of operational staff efficiently and effectively to ensure continuity of operations.
- Develop and execute strategies to attract operational talent, including job fairs, field recruiting, and the use of digital platforms.
- Ensure a positive experience for candidates throughout the recruitment process, from first contact to onboarding.
- Coordinate training and coaching programs for operational personnel in order to support quality and productivity improvement.
- Develop continuous improvement projects in Human Resources (absenteeism control, rotation, overtime, salary tables, benefits, among others).
- Follow up on performance evaluations of unionized personnel for promotion and development processes.
Requirements
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Labor Relations, Law, Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a Human Resources position with a focus on Labor Relations.
- Extensive knowledge of current labor legislation.
- Strong negotiation and mediation skills.
