Role Summary

Within the Development team and reporting to the Department Director, the Knitwear/Jersey Development Product Manager manages the development of the house's knitwear collections, from the creative brief through to production.

He/she is the interface between the studio, suppliers, collection merchandising, CSR, and production in order to guarantee compliance with the brand's product positioning, deadlines, costs and quality requirements.

As such, the missions will be as follows

Collection Development

Monitoring of development stages: ensure monitoring of the development process from the launch of the first prototype to the transition to production in pairs with the development technician.

PLM referencing: ensure that all the information necessary for monitoring the products in the collection is entered.

Validation of samples: Before going into production, check that the samples are referenced and in accordance with the quality and CSR objectives set by the company.

Guarantee compliance with the collection schedule.

Be a force of proposal in the search for solutions

Sourcing & Supplier Relations

Ensure daily follow-up with European and Asian suppliers.

Participate in the research of new materials, stitches and knitting techniques to supply the studio

Transverse Coordination

Coordinate exchanges between the studio, the technician, the merchandising collection, production and suppliers.

Monitoring of fittings, prototype reception, pricing and organization of standardizations

Ensure monitoring tools are updated (PLM, collection tables, nomenclatures, pricing).

Requirements

  • Higher education in textiles, product development or equivalent, with a knitwear specialization.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in knitted product development, ideally within a premium or accessible luxury brand.
  • Excellent knowledge of knitting techniques, gauges, yarns, stitches and knit constructions.
  • Good mastery of textile finishing processes.

Technical skills

  • Mastery of textile product development, with particular expertise in knitwear.
  • Strong product sensitivity and good understanding of issues related to style, costs, quality and CSR.
  • Mastery of Excel and a PLM tool; knowledge of Illustrator is an asset.
  • Fluent professional English, both written and spoken.
