Role Summary
- Design, develop, test and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot
- Build and consume high-quality RESTful APIs
- Collaborate with product owners, architects and other developers to deliver robust solutions
- Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards
- Investigate, debug and optimize application performance
- Contribute with clear and up-to-date technical documentation
- Support continuous improvement of development processes and tools
- Mentor junior developers and contribute to the team’s technical development
Differentiators
- Experience with microservices architecture and distributed patterns
- Knowledge of Spring Cloud, Hibernate/JPA or Kafka
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions)
- Advanced knowledge of Docker and containerization
Experience with monitoring and logging tools (ELK Stack, Prometheus).
Requirements
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot in a production environment
- Experience building REST APIs and scalable microservices
- Knowledge of relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) - optimizations, indexes, complex queries
- Hands-on experience with Git and version control flows in collaborative projects
- Knowledge of clean code, design patterns (Factory, Strategy, Observer, etc.) and SOLID principles
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Ability to analyze and solve complex problems
- Knowledge of automated tests (JUnit, Mockito, integration tests)
