The Program Lasting 2 (two) years, and exclusively for undergraduate students, our internship program was developed for those seeking growth and who want to evolve with us. We want people with the energy to move the world!
Through our Project Planning internship program, at GE Hydro we are preparing the next generation of Project Planners for complex projects.
This internship program was designed to accelerate the development of early-career talent for the planning and control of hydroelectric power plant projects. The candidate will use planning standards as a guide throughout the learning process, will be guided by senior project planners and will be part of the project management team's routine.
The main objective of the Project Planner is the early identification of potential delays, and the search for improvements through the management of Risks & Opportunities for projects. Consequently, planning must be at the heart of project execution, functioning as the main project coordination tool.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of the Global Project Schedule (MTS), Contractual Schedule (OTS), Project Baseline Schedule, periodic updates and reports.
- Update schedule monthly, proactively analyze and highlight any deviations/concerns at the appropriate level to mitigate/minimize their effects.
- Deliver and maintain project deadline management strategy and documented planning assumptions.
- Support the project team in optimizing financial cash planning.
- Provide, upon request from the Project Director / Project Manager, analysis of the project schedule and optimization proposals.
- Support the application of the Last Planner System (LPS) methodology for Engineering, Procurement and Construction Activities, providing a 6-week future planning vision and coordinating functions to meet the project baseline.
- Support in the development of action plans with operational functions for cases of On Time Delivery (OTD) performance below target.
- Support the Project Director / Project Manager in preparing Project Result Reviews (Project Reviews), providing the necessary reports related to planning.
- Support the Contract Manager in preparing claims, based on available documentation, such as schedules, non-compliance reports, management reports, meeting minutes.
Required Qualification
- Studying (Mechanical, Electrical or Production Engineering) or related areas with training from December/2028;
- Intermediate level in Office Package;
- Good communication skills;
- Intermediate English;
- Highly motivated profile;
- Strong leadership and inclusion skills;
- Strong analytical skills;
- Ability to work in a team.
Requirements
Desirable
- Knowledge of Power BI and SharePoint;
- Knowledge of Primavera P6 and MS Project;
- Knowledge in AI.
