Innovation Project Manager – Software & Automation (m/w/d)

Role Summary

This role is anchored in the global Innovation & Development of the BEUMER Group and works on future-oriented technologies within the CTO's area of responsibility. She combines technical development experience with responsibility for marketable software and automation solutions. The focus is on short paths from the idea to the first customer use, the technical orientation of teams and the targeted use of AI to improve development methods, product functions and project processes.

Responsibilities

• Structuring and controlling development projects from requirements analysis to pilot operation
• Professional leadership of interdisciplinary teams
• Translation of requirements into viable technical concepts and implementable work packages
• Technical clarification of architecture, interface and integration issues
• Application of modern methods, e.g. B. from the areas of AI-supported software development, simulation and computer vision
• Coordination with product management, engineering and sales on customer benefits, priorities and implementation paths
• Transparent control of quality, risks, resources, deadlines and costs

Requirements

• Completed studies in computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics, physics or a comparable technical course
• Several years of experience in software development or software-driven development projects
• Understanding of modern software architectures, interfaces and integration concepts
• Willingness to take on technical responsibility and provide guidance to development teams
• Structured, analytical and solution-oriented way of working
• Clear communication with development teams, product management, engineering and stakeholders
• Experience with agile development processes; Project management certification is a plus
• Passionate about the practical use and testing of AI tools
• Very good knowledge of German and English
