Hybrid Cloud Engineer

Role Summary

Sopra Steria is experiencing great demand for private and hybrid cloud solutions, and we are now strengthening the team with several experienced Hybrid Cloud Engineers. We combine the best of private and public cloud, with the aim of building robust, secure and scalable hybrid platforms. Our solutions balance requirements for security and national autonomy with the need for innovation, automation and faster service deliveries.

We work with some of the largest and most socially critical businesses in Norway and cover the entire spectrum from public cloud to private cloud - including air‑gapped solutions for defense and national security. Some assignments may therefore require security clearance.

Responsibilities

Typical tasks can be

• Architecture, design and further development of private, hybrid and national cloud solutions
• Automation and optimization of existing private and hybrid platforms
• Operation and management of the customer's private and hybrid cloud platforms
• Contribute professionally in teams, act as a technical sparring partner for customers and colleagues, and help influence technology choices and best practices

You will work closely with some of the market's most experienced professionals and with modern technologies from our partners, including: Microsoft Azure / Azure Local, VMware, Red Hat OpenShift and Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Nutanix, Terraform, Ansible, Oracle OCI, AWS and NVIDIA.

• We are looking for you who have some of the following experience:
• 4+ years of experience from cloud, data center and virtualized environments
• Platforms such as Azure Local, VMware, Nutanix or Oracle OCI
• Automation / IaC with tools such as Terraform and Ansible
• Kubernetes, containers and cloud native technologies, preferably with experience from Red Hat OpenShift
• Infrastructure such as network, storage and backup solutions

You don't need to be a specialist in everything, but you have sufficient experience to make technical assessments across platforms, security and operations. You are curious, willing to learn and enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams where broad competence is highly valued. Relevant certifications are an advantage. Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and spoken, is also a requirement we have for our consultants.
