Role Summary
We are looking for an Automation Engineer (QA) with strong test automation skills, working closely with the development team to create robust testing journeys that validate the quality of products before they are deployed into production. You will be responsible for creating automated tests for changes, updates and improvements to existing products, ensuring that security is maintained.
Perform different types of tests, including
- Black Box Testing
- Integration/End to End Tests
- Performance Tests
- Interface Testing (UI);
- Keep service documentation up to date;
- Constantly seek technical and performance improvements;
Demonstrate willingness for continuous learning and constant improvement.
It will be a difference
Have worked with Spark application test automation (Python or Scala);
Experience with instrumentation and observability of applications (Dynatrace, Datadog, Grafana, etc.);
Have worked with test automation in messaging and events.
Responsibilities
- You will work in a multidisciplinary team, acting as an Automation Engineer (QA), actively participating in discussions, proposals and planning;
- Will act as a point of reference for technical queries and resolve critical impasses by providing expert guidance;
- You will participate in the entire software development cycle, from conception to implementation and operation.
Main Deliveries
- Prepare and execute manual and automated scripts using tools and frameworks such as Cypress, REST-Assured, JMeter, Selenium, Cucumber, among others;
- Manage internal testing tools such as JIRA, Zephyr and associated source code to integrate these tools into automation;
- Produce test environments (test harnesses) with knowledge of the best languages and implement the solution in the CI/CD pipeline;
- Develop, maintain and execute test suites such as Smoke, Sanity, Regression, according to business requirements;
Requirements
- What are we looking for in you?
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming languages and process management methodologies.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and their respective tools.
- Experience with TDD/ATDD or Behavior Driven Development (BDD) and programming/testing.
- Ability to recognize risks and errors in an application.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Passion for testing, development and design;
- Experience in CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Jenkins.
