As our new Consultant, you will be part of our team focused on providing independent advice, supporting our clients to obtain approvals / consents / authorizations / financing for their investment projects.

The position will be based in Bucharest, and our hybrid working model will allow you to split your time between working in the office and working from home.

Responsibilities

  • Checks, corrects and validates data to ensure data quality
  • Project management (client relationship, authorities for high complexity projects)
  • Provides support/ prepares technical proposals under supervision
  • It supports the projects during the technical approval meetings
  • Mentoring for entry and middle level consultants
  • Participates in the preparation of offers
  • Participate in field visits/monitoring campaigns

Actively participates in technical-legal discussions, provides advice on the interpretation of legislation, and contributes to the updating of internal procedures to align with the ever-evolving legislative requirements.

Tasks and activities

Participation in projects in water-sewer infrastructure, waste management, transport and energy infrastructure, etc.

Involvement in projects and studies with varying levels of complexity, from standard studies with clearly defined legislative requirements, procedures and workflows to regional and strategic projects that require integrated, cumulative, cross-sectoral approaches and working methodologies, with the performance of the activity at a high level of autonomy and the ability to work completely independently.

  • Ensuring the quality of deliverables and guaranteeing technical integrity at all stages of projects.
  • Active interaction with clients and authorities, mentoring of junior colleagues and mid-level consultants, participation in bidding and involvement in internal development initiatives and professional events.

Requirements

  • We are looking for an environmental consultant who is passionate about his job, with over 5 years of experience in the field, preferably with proven results through various studies in environmental projects, able to manage both standard and highly complex projects.
  • Expertise in climate change immunization studies, DNSH analyzes is an advantage.
  • Professional experience and technical criteria
  • Elaboration of environmental studies: environmental balance sheets, environmental reports (RM), impact studies (RIM);
  • Development of appropriate assessment studies, ESIA studies and involvement in projects of high complexity;
  • Elaboration of documentation for obtaining Water Management Approvals and Authorizations;
  • The evaluation of conservation objectives of protected species and habitats represents an advantage:
  • Certification as a principal level environmental expert is also an advantage
  • Knowledge of the development methodologies and legislative regulations of the specific studies they develop

Consolidated experience in the transposition and application of European regulations (e.g. CSRD, Taxonomy, EIA Directive, DNSH and ESG Regulations) in strategic and multidisciplinary projects.

  • Ability to develop studies / analyzes without standardized models
  • The ability to propose technical solutions adapted to the project to ensure the prevention/protection of the impact on biodiversity
  • IT skills: GIS, MS Office, other software necessary for environmental assessments
