Schneider Electric France Transfo is based in Ennery, 15km from Metz, 1h30 from Paris by train, border with Luxembourg, Belgium and Germany.

The site specializes in the design and production of dry and oil-immersed transformers.

It has around 300 employees and achieves a turnover of more than 100 million, of which more than 65% comes from exports (Middle East, Europe, Latin America, Asia).

The main objective of the Industrial Methods team is to lead industrial projects to ensure that the company's products are manufactured safely and ergonomically, at the required quality level and as efficiently as possible in accordance with the Schneider Performance System (SPS) philosophy.

You will be attached to the Methods and Maintenance department of the factory and will work in close collaboration with all other departments during your projects (Hygiene and Safety, Quality, Production, Maintenance, Supply Chain, Design, etc.).

Responsibilities

  • Successfully manage the implementation of any industrial project, from start (cost analysis and presentation file) to finish (user training, improvement if necessary and confirmation of expected results).
  • Be proactive in all projects to comply with Health and Safety / Ergonomics / Environment / Energy recommendations.
  • Analyze and continuously improve assembly and manufacturing techniques through benchmarking, eliminate waste, eliminate any potential quality problems with customer products.
  • Develop new lines/arrangements, purchases and/or designs of tools/templates, the use of external companies in a profitable manner, digital tools...
  • Improve efficiency to reduce costs in manufacturing/assembly processes.
  • Be able to lead a cross-functional team to successfully complete all projects.
  • Conduct measurement/work method studies against new and existing tasks to establish time estimates, measure operator performance and ensure the most efficient manufacturing and assembly techniques are adopted. Record all wasted time issues and create action plans for root causes. Identify wasted time and deduce unidentified time to be reduced.
  • Ensure standardization between each line/machine and monitor industrial indicators.
  • Compile complete product assembly and manufacturing operating procedures with clear and concise instructions/visual aids, to ensure that users can obtain accurate information on parts or assembly details.
  • In coordination with the Quality and Engineering departments, lead FMEAs and the implementation of Poka Yoke and Jidoka.

The role is based in Ennery (Moselle), you may be required to travel occasionally.

Requirements

  • You have an engineering degree in industry, manufacturing, mechanics, electrical engineering or a related field.
  • You demonstrate 3 to 5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing, process optimization, lean manufacturing principles.

Your skills

  • You speak French fluently and have an advanced level of English (B2 minimum).
  • You have advanced knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD 2D. Creo would be a plus.
  • You are results-oriented and have a problem-solving mindset.
  • You demonstrate strong leadership in order to inspire, motivate and manage in a cross-functional manner.
  • You have the ability to learn quickly and you know how to demonstrate agility, adaptability, anticipation, organization and, most importantly, common sense.
  • Your strong experience in the field allows you to capture and analyze the situation/data in order to find improvements based on the results.
