Role Summary

The Embassy of the Republic of Sierra Leone in Dublin invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Driver to the Ambassador.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, timely and professional transportation for the Ambassador to official engagements, meetings, diplomatic events and other assigned duties.
• Maintain the Ambassador's official vehicle in a clean, roadworthy and presentable condition.
• Manage vehicle logbooks and records of journeys undertaken.
• Coordinate vehicle servicing, insurance, registration and routine maintenance.
• Assist with protocol arrangements, luggage handling and other official duties as required.
• Ensure compliance with Irish road traffic regulations and Embassy transport policies.
• Maintain confidentiality, professionalism and security awareness at all times.

Requirements

• Valid Irish driving licence held for a minimum of ten years.
• Minimum ten years' professional driving experience.
• Excellent knowledge of Dublin and surrounding areas.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of discretion, integrity and reliability.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required.
• Applicant must have a good command of the English language.
• Applicant must be legally entitled to work within Ireland and the EU,
