Role Summary
We are looking for a demand planner with an analytical approach and experience in industrial operations, responsible for planning and managing demand for construction chemicals, ensuring proper coordination between sales, inventory and production. Responsibilities include:
Analyze sales trends and historical data to generate accurate demand forecasts.
Coordinate with sales, production and logistics teams to align the demand plan and ensure organizational objectives are met.
Develop and update production and supply plans based on forecasted demand and market conditions.
Monitor inventory levels, turnover rates, and product coverage to optimize stock positioning.
Identify deviations between expected and actual demand, proposing corrective measures and process improvements.
Support sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes and contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
Optimize product availability by balancing inventory to avoid shortages or excess stock situations.
Prepare comprehensive reports on forecasts, inventories and supply chain performance for review by interested parties.
Coordinate with the purchasing department to ensure timely supply of raw materials for production.
Develop and refine demand forecasting methodologies to improve accuracy and reliability.
Conduct risk assessments on demand variability and supply chain disruptions, implementing mitigation strategies.
Maintain and manage demand planning systems and tools, ensuring data integrity and system optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain or related careers.
- Minimum experience of 3 to 5 years in demand planning, production or supply chain.
- Experience in the chemical industry, construction or manufacturing (highly desirable).
- Advanced use of Excel and data analysis tools.
- Experience in ERP or planning systems (SAP, Oracle or others).
- Knowledge of inventory management and production planning.
- High analytical capacity, organization and results orientation.
