Civil Engineer Civil / Structural Works – Transmission Lines

Role Summary

Review and coordinate civil and structural engineering associated with transmission lines.

Validate design criteria for towers, foundations and complementary civil works.

Review calculation reports, structure layout plans and technical documentation.

Coordinate interfaces between civil, structural, electrical, geotechnical and construction engineering.

Monitor engineering development and control compliance with contractual milestones.

Manage technical observations and lead deliverable review processes.

Provide technical support during the construction and assembly stages of transmission lines.

Participate in technical meetings with clients, consultants, contractors and manufacturers.

Verify compliance with regulations, client specifications and project quality standards.

Requirements

• Title of Civil Engineer in Civil Works, Structural Civil Engineer or related career.
• Experience in 110 kV, 220 kV or higher transmission line projects.
• Minimum experience of 5 years in engineering review and coordination of electrical transmission lines.
• Proven experience in design and review of structures for high voltage lines.
• Knowledge of foundation design for transmission towers.
• Experience in structural analysis of self-supporting, braced towers and special structures.
• Knowledge of design criteria for wind loads, earthquakes, temperature and operational conditions of transmission lines.
• Experience in reviewing topographic profiles, geotechnical studies and structural implementation criteria.
• Knowledge of national and international regulations applicable to electrical transmission lines.
• Experience in multidisciplinary coordination with electrical, mechanical, geotechnical and environmental specialties.
• Management of structural calculation software and associated engineering tools.

Desirable

• Knowledge of electrical transmission company standards.
• Experience in basic and detailed engineering processes and construction support.
• Knowledge of technical specifications for towers, foundations and access roads.
• Experience in reviewing suppliers and manufacturing metal structures.
