CHEMIST A (residence in Calama)

Role Summary

Execute the various laboratory analysis services, related to the composition, properties and reactions of the chemical and physical elements that make up the samples. It involves carrying out methodologies at all levels of complexity and being responsible for compliance with quality, safety and environmental policies and standards.

The main functions will be

Ensuring the correct execution of the analysis method or determinations under your responsibility involves carrying out verification calculations, in addition to safeguarding the results and inputs under your responsibility and the data to be recorded within the established times.

Arrange, secure or prepare the supplies, equipment and/or accessories necessary for the execution of laboratory analyses, handling chemical reagents and controlling their quality before use.

Ensure and comply with all activities related to the treatment of samples, preparation of reagents and standards; as well as the integrity of the results according to current procedures.

Requirements

• Formal Studies: Chemical Engineer or Graduate in Chemistry, higher level chemical analyst
• Experience: At least 3 years in general and 2 years in mineral laboratories
• Minimum necessary skills: Management of good laboratory practices, Knowledge of Quality Standards and Management of Mineral Analysis Techniques or Methodologies.
• Experience in Atomic Absorption (exclusive)
• PCI experience (exclusive)
• Residence in Calama
