Role Summary
Workplace: Los Vilos
Supervise and coordinate laboratory analytical activities.
Plan and control the execution of physical-chemical water analysis.
Review and technically validate the analytical results obtained.
Monitor compliance with quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
Verify the correct operation, calibration and control of laboratory equipment and instruments.
Ensure correct traceability of samples, records and results.
Manage deviations, out-of-criteria results and analytical contingencies.
Coordinate requirements and results with operational areas.
Ensure compliance with SGS safety, quality and environmental standards.
Requirements
- Professional title of Laboratory Chemist, Graduate in Chemistry, Chemical Engineer or equivalent training.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in laboratory work.
- Experience in physical-chemical analysis of water.
- Knowledge of volumetric and gravimetric techniques.
- Management of laboratory equipment and instruments for water analysis.
- Knowledge in QA/QC, traceability and validation of analytical results.
- Knowledge of standardized methodologies for water analysis.
- Management of computational tools at the user level.
- Ability to plan, coordinate and supervise laboratory activities.
- Availability to work in Los Vilos and attend to operational requirements or contingencies when appropriate.
