We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex substation projects within GE Vernova's Grid Systems Integration business. In this role, you will coordinate multiple sub-projects and workflows, ensuring consistency between engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning and customer activities.
You will be responsible for driving project execution from planning to delivery, centralizing information on progress, risks and priorities in a clear overall vision. This position also requires excellent interpersonal skills and effective communication with management, as well as working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are achieved safely, on time, on budget and within contractual and quality requirements.

You will be responsible for driving project execution from planning through delivery, while consolidating progress, risks, and priorities into a clear overall project view. The role also requires strong reporting and communication with leadership, as well as close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project objectives are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in line with quality and contractual requirements.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for leading large, complex substation projects within GE Vernova's Grid Systems Integration (GSI) business. These projects involve the coordination of several interrelated sub-projects within an integrated implementation plan. This role involves consolidating and supporting the activities of the various teams (engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning and customer relations) to ensure compliance with scope, schedule, cost, quality and contractual commitments.
In addition to managing all project management activities, the Senior Project Manager serves as a liaison between the execution teams and management. He/She ensures structured governance, reliable reporting, visibility of risks and rapid reporting of information on problems that have an impact on the completion of projects. This position requires strong cross-functional coordination skills, in-depth knowledge of substation project execution and the ability to translate detailed project performance data into clear information and decision support tools for internal management and external stakeholders.

This role consolidates and supports activities across engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and customer interface workstreams to ensure alignment on scope, schedule, cost, quality, and contract commitments.
In addition to managing the full range of project management activities, the Senior Project Manager serves as a critical link between project execution teams and leadership, providing structured governance, reliable reporting, risk visibility, and timely escalation of issues affecting delivery. The role requires strong cross-functional coordination, deep understanding of substation project execution, and the ability to translate detailed project performance into clear insights and decision support for internal leadership and external stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Perform a review of the project scope and compare it to the GEV quote when transferring the project file from the sales department to project management.
- Lead the project kick-off meeting with all internal contributors and assign roles and responsibilities.
- Facilitate the kick-off meeting with the client in order to communicate the nature of the work to be carried out and to clarify any points relating to the order.
- Manage the overall execution of complex substation projects, ensuring their delivery in accordance with the contractual scope, schedule, budget, quality and safety requirements.
- Consolidate and coordinate the activities of different sub-projects and work streams, in order to create an integrated vision of the project and ensure alignment of priorities, milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
- Lead project planning and execution for engineering, procurement, production, logistics, construction, commissioning and handover activities.
- Establish and maintain effective project governance, including project reviews, action tracking, decision logs, escalation management and management reporting.
- Track project performance against key indicators and proactively identify, assess and mitigate risks, issues, delays and cost impacts that may affect project success.
- Support sub-project managers and functional teams in resolving cross-functional difficulties, removing obstacles to execution and maintaining focus on critical activities.
- Manage customer communication and stakeholder coordination to ensure transparency, alignment and timely resolution of technical, commercial and execution-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, internal processes, quality standards and applicable regulatory and safety requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead change management activities, including the assessment of scope changes, schedule and cost implications, and associated customer approvals or notifications.
- Prepare and present to management accurate and timely project status updates, forecasts and summaries, highlighting performance, risks, required decisions and corrective actions, as appropriate.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement within the project team and interface functions.
- Support project closeout activities, including final deliverables, lessons learned, financial close, and transition to warranty or service phases as applicable.

Requirements
Qualifications required
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, operations or a related field.
- At least 5 years of project management experience relevant to the position, preferably in substations, network infrastructure, energy or other large and complex industrial projects.
- Travel up to 15% depending on business needs
- Proven experience in managing complex and multidisciplinary projects in international and transversal environments
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools and governance frameworks
- Experience working with global or regional stakeholders within matrix organizations
- Ability to lead with structure and responsiveness, managing competing priorities while ensuring consistent execution
- Clear and effective communication with teams, customers and management
- Design of scalable frameworks and anticipation of operational needs before they become obstacles
- Analysis of root causes, management of ambiguity and implementation of practical and concrete solutions
- Use of data, indicators and trends to inform decisions and measure impact
- Ability to lead organizational change, obtain stakeholder buy-in and drive adoption across diverse teams
- Fluency in French is an asset
Desired qualifications
- Advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g. PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) desired.
- Experience in the field of substation or electrical network projects is a major asset.
- Bachelors degree in engineering, business, operations, or a related field is required.
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience relevant to the role, preferably in substations, grid infrastructure, energy, or other large and complex industrial projects.
- Up to 15% travel based on the business needs
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-workstream projects across cross-functional and international environments
- Strong grounding in project management methodologies, tools, and governance frameworks

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $114,100.00 and $190,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
