Role Summary
Your role as our LVD specialist
Are you passionate about electrical safety and technical standards? Do you want to be the decisive link that ensures that our innovative heat pumps are safe and ready for the European market? Bosch Thermoteknik in Tranås is now looking for a thorough and driven specialist in LVD certification!
As our new certification engineer, you will be our internal expert and key person for everything related to electrical safety according to the Low Voltage Directive (LVD). You will work in a responsible role where your technical knowledge and ability to interpret standards will directly affect our success.
You will be the one who guarantees that our products pass the certification process. Your main mission is to ensure that every heat pump we develop meets all relevant requirements for CE marking.
Responsibilities
Your duties will include
- Require and review certificates and test reports from our subcontractors to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Conduct technical discussions with suppliers and test institutes to ensure consensus regarding requirements and test methods.
- Plan and perform LVD tests and other electrical safety tests in our own lab, often in close collaboration with external test institutes.
- Carry out practical tests according to specific clauses of the product standard EN 60335-2-40, for example clauses 10, 11, 13, 19.
- Responsible for our Customer's Test Facility (CTF) agreement, which includes managing annual audits (inspections) and ensuring all relevant test equipment is calibrated and compliant.
- Act as the company's expert and proactively work for our products to be approved at the final certification.
Requirements
What sets you apart
To succeed in this role, you are a structured and analytical person who enjoys delving deep into technical standards and reports. You are communicative and comfortable making demands, both internally and externally.
We believe you have
- A relevant technical education in, for example, electrical engineering or mechatronics.
- Experience of practical work with LVD and CE marking.
- Very good knowledge of electrical safety standards, in particular the EN 60335 series.
- Experienced in reading, interpreting and applying technical standards and requirements documents.
- Experience performing and documenting electrical tests.
- Good knowledge of English, as you will review international reports and communicate with global partners.
Meritorious skills
It is a great advantage if you also have experience in:
- Flammable refrigerants and the specific requirements of relevant standards.
- To work under a CTF agreement or similar.
