Our client, Cronin Furniture Limited, based in Killeagh, Co. Cork, is currently seeking Cabinet Makers for immediate start at their workshop in Killeagh, Co. Cork.

Responsibilities

Key Role Responsibilities & Functions

• Responsible for building high-quality cabinets and custom furniture components according to technical drawings and production specifications
• This role requires experience with woodworking machinery, hand tools, and a commitment to producing exceptional craftsmanship while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and production specifications.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and finish wood and other materials to manufacture cabinets and furniture components.
• Operate woodworking equipment including panel saws, table saws, edge banders, routers, planers, sanders, and drills.
• Assemble cabinets and furniture using appropriate hardware, adhesives, and fastening techniques.
• Install hinges, drawer slides, handles, and other cabinet hardware.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and customer specifications.
• Perform sanding, fitting, and finishing preparation as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Conduct routine maintenance and safety checks on tools and equipment.
• Follow workplace health and safety policies and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet production schedules and quality targets.

Requirements

Requirements – Skills & Experience

• Candidates must be competent to perform all job duties detailed above
• Minimum of 3 years of previous experience as a cabinet maker, furniture maker, or woodworking technician in a manufacturing environment.
• Candidates must have experience in a factory/manufacturing environment
• Formal training or qualification related to cabinetmaking or carpentry is a plus but is not required
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking techniques, materials, and construction methods.
• Knowledge of custom cabinetry and furniture manufacturing.
• Experience operating woodworking machinery and hand tools safely.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality craftsmanship.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Annual Remuneration: €36,605.00; Pay Rate €18.05 per hour

• Work Location: Cronin Furniture Limited, Burgess, Killeagh, Co. Cork, P36 DX88.
• Number of hours work each week: 39 hours per week
