Role Summary

We are looking for a talented Business Development Associate to join our team specializing in Sales for our Distribution Business Unit in San Fernando de Henares, Spain.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support Business Development Managers responsible for multiple futures accounts across several countries, contributing to business growth and market expansion.
  • Identify, qualify, and support the development of new business opportunities across data centre, hyperscale, and critical infrastructure customers.
  • Compile early-stage technical and commercial concepts, budgets, and high-level business cases by gathering and structuring technical data, supplier inputs, lead times, costing assumptions, and market benchmarks.
  • Perform technical and commercial analysis of suppliers (e.g. enclosures, switchgear, fuel systems, BOP), including comparison of solutions, risks, lead times, and competitiveness.
  • Support pipeline management, opportunity tracking, and forecasting activities, ensuring strong visibility across regions and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate technical and commercial discussions between customers, internal engineering teams, and external suppliers to support solution definition.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration across engineering, operations, sourcing, logistics, finance, legal, and service teams.
  • Contribute to contract preparation and negotiation by coordinating legal review, supporting commercial discussions, and ensuring alignment of terms and conditions.
  • Support credit validation processes in collaboration with finance teams, ensuring compliance with internal risk and approval frameworks.
  • Participate in customer meetings, technical workshops, and business reviews across multiple countries, supporting Business Development Managers.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations, market analyses, and strategic documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Track and communicate opportunity status, risks, and key developments across accounts and regions.

En este puesto, tendrás impacto de las siguientes maneras

  • Dar soporte a los Business Development Managers responsables de múltiples cuentas estratégicas en varios países, contribuyendo al crecimiento del negocio y a la expansión del mercado.
  • Identificar, cualificar y apoyar el desarrollo de nuevas oportunidades de negocio en clientes de centros de datos (data centers), hyperscalers e infraestructuras críticas.
  • Elaborar conceptos técnicos y comerciales en fases iniciales, presupuestos y casos de negocio de alto nivel mediante la recopilación y estructuración de datos técnicos, aportaciones de proveedores, plazos de entrega, hipótesis de costes y referencias de mercado.
  • Realizar análisis técnicos y comerciales de proveedores (por ejemplo, envolventes, equipos de conmutación/switchgear, sistemas de combustible y sistemas auxiliares de planta - BOP), incluyendo la comparación de soluciones, riesgos, plazos de entrega y competitividad.
  • Apoyar la gestión del pipeline comercial, el seguimiento de oportunidades y las actividades de previsión de ventas (forecasting), garantizando una sólida visibilidad entre regiones y partes interesadas.
  • Coordinar conversaciones técnicas y comerciales entre clientes, equipos internos de ingeniería y proveedores externos para apoyar la definición de soluciones.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, international, and highly technical environment.

Requirements

Education/Experience

  • College, university, or equivalent degree in engineering, technical: Mechanical or Electrical.
  • Technical or engineering background strongly preferred.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • Additional European languages are a plus.
  • Exposure to data center, power generation, or complex project-based environments is preferred.
