Automation engineer for the growing Food business area at AFRY

The Food business area at AFRY is characterized by long industry experience and high competence in project management, process design, plant construction, automation and quality assurance. As one of AFRY's strategically selected segments, Food is an area that we are particularly focused on globally.

As an automation engineer with us in Gothenburg, you will work closely with experienced colleagues in assignments aimed at the food industry. Together, we help our customers to develop, streamline and optimize their operations.

We work in project form, where each assignment is based on the customer's specific needs and conditions - which makes each project unique. Therefore, we would like you to be flexible, adaptable and enjoy new challenges.

• PLC programming
• Systematization and technical solutions
• Tender work
• Electrical construction
• Project management
• Commissioning
• Service and maintenance

The work group consists of 14 people with different roles, with approximately half working primarily with PLC programming and half with electrical design. Most have extensive experience in the industry, and we have a strong culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing. There is a lot of expertise here to take advantage of - and good opportunities for you to develop, from junior to a highly skilled automation engineer.

We are looking for you who have

Relevant training in automation and/or electrical construction, or

A strong interest in the field and, for example, work as an operation or maintenance technician and want to develop further in automation.

B driver's license

Ability to read and understand electrical drawings

We attach great importance to personal qualities. You are curious, unprestigious and social, with good collaboration skills and a clear desire to deliver high-quality work. You are flexible and open to meet customers' varying needs.

You have a good command of Swedish and English, both spoken and written. You enjoy working in project form, have a positive attitude to new challenges and are happy to share your ideas and experiences. At the same time, you are self-motivated, take responsibility and work in a structured way, even on your own.

Travel occurs in the position, on average 20–40 days per year, both within and outside Sweden.

Meritorious

• Knowledge of Siemens Classic and/or TIA Portal
• Work experience as an operating technician with PLC
• General programming experience or great interest in programming
• Experience with electrical design tools such as ElProCAD, EPLAN or equivalent
