Automation Engineer

Role Summary

As an Automation Engineer / Internal Services Engineer, you will develop internal tools, automation and processes that make our entire team faster and more efficient. You'll build the infrastructure behind our operations - from AI-powered workflows to internal platforms used daily by Support, Sales, CS and Ops.

You are not a tooling admin. You are a software engineer with the mindset that every repetitive task is a bug that you can fix.

Responsibilities

• Development of internal tools and services with n8n, HubSpot and your own services in code
• Automating manual processes with AI, APIs and modern SaaS tools
• Building internal platforms for support, operations, sales and customer success
• Analysis of internal processes and identification of bottlenecks & automation potential
• Work closely with all teams to eliminate repetitive work
• Build your own agents and optimize them for the DACH context

Requirements

THIS IS WHAT YOU BRING WITH YOU

• Software engineering background: you write code, read APIs, understand data models and debug problems
• Lots of experience with n8n and other automation tools - you know when n8n is the right choice and when it's better to write a small service in code
• Experience with APIs, integrations and workflow automation
• Strong understanding of pragmatic software development & rapid iteration
• AI-first: Claude Code, Cursors, Agents, LLM APIs are part of your toolkit - or you are dying to make it so
• High level of personal responsibility and hands-on mentality
• Extreme growth mindset
• German as a native language (DACH focus – you will also optimize your own agents here) + good English
