Role Summary

1. We are Bosch Artificial Intelligence Research Center (China), focusing on the deep integration of AI and engineering systems (AI4Engineering), driven by real vehicles and industrial scenarios, promoting the large-scale implementation of cutting-edge algorithms in virtual sensors, function optimization and intelligent systems
2. This position deeply combines physical modeling (first-principles) and data-driven methods (machine learning), conducts innovative research in the directions of time series modeling, system identification and dynamic system modeling, and works closely with top domestic universities and business teams
3. More than 90% of the team members have doctoral degrees and come from top universities in the world. They have both AI research capabilities and experience in implementing complex engineering systems, providing a complete development path from scientific research exploration to industrial application.

Responsibilities

Job content

1. Carry out AI4Engineering related research for Bosch’s core automotive business (such as electric drive systems, chassis control, thermal management, etc.), focusing on time series modeling, physics-informed learning, hybrid modeling, etc.
2. Design and develop algorithms and models for real vehicle data for virtual sensing, state estimation, function optimization and new function development to improve system performance and reliability.
3. Work closely with university partners and internal business teams to open up the entire process of "theoretical modeling - algorithm development - prototype verification - mass production", and promote the output of patents and technological achievements
4. Track the cutting-edge directions of AI4Engineering and Scientific Machine Learning, identify high-value issues based on industrial needs, and promote the large-scale application of technology in actual scenarios.

Requirements

1. Have solid programming skills and be proficient in using deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch; candidates with experience in time series modeling, system identification, control systems or signal processing are preferred
2. Have a deep understanding or interest in the combination of physical modeling and data-driven methods (such as physics-informed ML, hybrid modeling, etc.)
3. Fluent in listening, speaking, reading and writing in English, and capable of cross-team and cross-cultural scientific research and engineering collaboration
4. Possess a doctoral degree in computer, artificial intelligence, automation, vehicle engineering, control theory, applied mathematics or related majors
5. Applicants who publish papers in top journals or conferences in related fields will be given priority
