Job description

Location:
Suzhou, Jiangsu, China
Work arrangement:
On-site

Role Summary

L2 level AEB/FCW function development and mass production: Responsible for the algorithm design and implementation of forward/rear automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning and other functions to meet the requirements of ENCAP/CNCAP regulations while reducing the false trigger rate (<1 time per 10,000 kilometers).

Balance driving comfort and safety trigger strategies: Design hierarchical warning and braking strategies (such as audible and visual warning first, then comfort braking, and finally emergency braking) to avoid unnecessary sudden braking or premature intervention and improve the daily driving comfort of the L2 system.

Long-tail scenario optimization and data closed loop: Use road mining data to mine edge scenarios of false triggers and missed triggers (such as false positives caused by bridge pier shadows, railway tracks, and speed bumps), and use difficult case mining, data enhancement, or lightweight neural networks for strategy iteration.

Functional safety implementation: Complete AEB's HARA analysis, safety target definition, FSC/TSC writing in accordance with ISO 26262 and ISO 21448 (SOTIF), and participate in safety verification (fault injection testing, misuse testing).

Real vehicle calibration and regulatory testing: Lead field testing (Euro NCAP operating conditions, enterprise-defined comfort operating conditions) and open road testing, and cooperate with calibration engineers to optimize trigger delays and deceleration curves.

Requirements

Basic requirements

  • Vehicle engineering, automation, computer, electronic information and other related majors, bachelor degree or above, more than 2 years of experience in AEB or active safety function development.
  • Proficient in using C++/Python, familiar with sensor fusion, time to collision (TTC) calculation, brake pressure control logic.
  • Understand camera/millimeter wave radar characteristics, and have experience in real vehicle data processing and calibration.

Extra points/special requirements

  • Have experience in mass production AEB projects and have an in-depth understanding of the balance between comfort and safety (such as adjusting trigger thresholds and braking gradients to adapt to different driving scenarios).
  • Familiar with data-driven safety optimization methods: have used real road mining data to solve false triggering problems, or established automated evaluation pipelines.
  • Master the functional safety analysis methods (HARA, FTA, DFA), and those with experience in participating in functional safety certification (ASIL B/C) will be given priority.
  • Understand the interaction logic between AEB and ACC/LKA, and be able to collaborate with the regulatory team to avoid control conflicts.
